So. Tomorrow is July 1st. Tomorrow is when the Common App for 09-10 comes out.

Tomorrow is doomsday as I begin the very painful process of applying to colleges.

And as I am very likely to be whining about this topic for the next couple millennia, feel free to ignore these posts. I require this output so I can believe someone is out there reading it and sympathizing.

But yes, college doom death-y doom. I have this thing where I want to be done as quickly as possible so I can focus back in on senior year and trying to maintain a perfect GPA? Why do I have crazy visions for thing I know I am too lazy to actually accomplish?

College. Spazzing. Oh god, you guys, I can't write an essay to save my life. I hate giving opinions on things.

And pfft, essay's are easy.

'I'd like to go to ____ because... I feel it has what I'm looking for in a college. I like ____ and ___ and you have a ___ major. I have always liked ____ since I was young, my ____ gave me a book on ____'

I mean, damn thing is practically fill in the blank. It's not like you even need much. I wrote all mine on how suffering from Chronic Pain makes me less of a failure.

...My latest fandom-y-ness has been stalking a couple of kink memes. I will not write about two characters getting it on in various kinky fashions, no matter how entertaining it would be to see if I got in or not. :|

I remember doing that for the 07-08 season (god, it's only been a year and a few months since I last logged on to that site and I don't even remember my username). all thats going to be out right now is the basics: name, address, where you want to apply, etc. and the basic essay. if you get that done then you can go to your folks and be like "yes, I have already started, now stop bothering meeee."
tip: if you think about a good essay topic now, make a note of it. hell, even starting to write the essay asap makes it so much simpler. and one of the options is "choose your own". ::gives hugs::
following kat8cha's lead, I wrote mine on how doing NaNoWriMo made me a grammar nazi changed my life (or something like that)

I require this output so I can believe someone is out there reading it and sympathizing.
that's like, my entire lj that isn't actual fanfic, don't worry

I cannot think of an essay topic and am a boring person and this is my problem! The entire thing shall just be a bunch of happy BS! :D

The common app isn't nearly as scary as it sounds. It's just a generic application form, from the essays to the information they ask for. Besides, you don't actually have to start applying until maybe November-ish! (please, please, please don't actually take my advice. D:)

I will happily not take your advice! (No, I've got all the easy info done but the essays will force my to spaz over them until September when I'll force them on my English teacher to make sure they're perfect.)
