No Halloween. >: But I've got a friend this time! \o\

My issue is I was going to wear this nun costume for that I had to buy earlier this year to go trick-or-treating and now I need to find a nun anime character. I'm pretty sure they exist but...not on the shows/manga I watch/read? And I've got an Ed Elric costume from earlier this year, which the wig was crap so I think I'm gonna see about getting my hair cut to have swoopy bangs for movie!Al.

And then there is my in-bits-and-pieces Spain or Romano outfit in the basement. :| I am horrible at sewing, and so making my first costume is...taking a long long while. And I am distracted. It will be finished sometime...probably not in time for con.

Okayokayokay.

So, I was browsing TF2chan (which I totally blame on tanyartblog because she posted TF2 art today) and this random little message pops up and says "wut". Nothing else.

And guys, I just lost it for at least 10 minutes. I am too slap-happy today.

I then returned to sad Sniper/Spy pics. :| (Aaaand it just did it again and I laughed some more. XD Maybe it's always done that and I just never noticed before...)

In other news, school is still kicking my ass and Monday does not look good with 4 tests and an essay. I have also finished one of my college apps! Just gotta get my transcript from Xavier and my AP scores sent and it's finished! THEN ONLY 6 MORE TO GO! \o/

It's finally the ~WEEKEND~ following a totally awesome Friday. In Physics we told jokes in between doing sample problems, English wasn't fun, but then we grabbed all the new inductees for National Honor Society and went to lunch at Max & Erma's and it was amazingly fun! 8D And then didn't have to do anything in Calc!

WEEKEND! Maybe I'll finally start working on those essays for college and go through my email. My apologies to anyone who's commented here/replied to one of my comments but I have basically been ignoring my email for the past...month.

And finally, our adorable little kitty has learned from the older, fat one that she should drool all over me while I pet her. :|

I think I am going to go to SugoiCon this year even though I basically told myself I wasn't going to.
Alrighty! I have a question for the f-list!

What are some good steampunk-type movies/shows?

My dad's been getting into the genre. We just got Steamboy from Netflix and he loves the whole mechanical aspect of it, but I'm not really into it and so don't know too much about it. Thus, I turn to you guys! 8D

So, yes! We'd prefer English just because it's easier and we can maybe get them from Netflix. But any suggestions you have will work! (Especially if you'll tell me where to get them...)

AHHHHHH!

WHY DO I NEVER REMEMBER TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY?! I SPAZZED ALL WEEK ABOUT IT AND TOLD EVERYONE I KNEW AND THEN COMPLETELY FORGOT THIS MORNING. AAAAARGH!

*deep breath*

Hey guys! 8D How's it goin'?

Schedule's been figured out! And I'm dumb enough to pick up three AP classes again! So far I am loving Physics, though it drives me bonkers at times. Glad it's a small class, only ten of us and we get so off-track. XD Cannot wait until after the AP test. The Physics classes all go to King's Island, the nearby amusement park, and AP kids don't have to do a thing, only the normal Physics kids do.

English is dumb as usual. Would love to discuss the pieces we're reading, but I can't stand most of the class because they can't take anything seriously and just talk on while we're trying to discuss. Been doing short stories and gotta make sense of Hawthorne's "My Kinsman, Major Molineaux" this weekend. Er...reading and analyzing things is not my strong point. I foresee failure in my future.

Calc is a silly class filled with...well, jocks and preps? Which is kinda strange but I can manage. Keep making dumb mistakes, though. Oh well.

Thespians are doing "Once Upon a Matress", a very amusing version of the Princess and the Pea. Being forced to be a lady-in-waiting and sing and dance. |D They asked me what I was when we started song practice and I'm like "Uh...what?" Got tossed into being an Alto 1. I can't wait until they try to teach me how to dance. "Uh...that doesn't bend that way..."

Latin and French will be starting up on Wednesday. I just have to hope I don't get them confused since it's the same teacher, four days a week, an hour a piece, one after the other.

Also have been helping at the school library! Get first pick of all the books being discarded! DX Now I bring too many books home and I still have a stack and a list I need to read...

I seriously have everything done for my college apps except for the essays and have entered the "OMG, GOING TO COLLEGE" stage already for some odd reason. Silly, you need to get through senior year first!

Don't think I'll be going to any cons this year 'cause I just wanna make it through. Have already told myself I had to go to prom though will probably chicken out come May when I don't have anyone to go with because friends are either not going or have a date.

Uh...I think that's about it! Will try to resume posting here more often, but will probably fail!

things that have happened since (and prior to) last entry

My mind is ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have finally been keeping up with the flist but have started to completely neglect RP and my email. Need to find a balance again.

So, summer has finally finished and classes started back up on Monday. I spent the past week trying to iron out my schedule. I was finally settled when 8 o'clock this morning I learn there is an AP Calc class. 6th period. Right where I wanted it to be and my counselor refused to say existed. I went around her and to the teacher and have now picked up the class. Got till Monday to do the summer work. Hopefully counselor won't come back and say "No, you can't do that." XD

I did end up reading Pride and Prejudice and watching the BBC miniseries but didn't do anything for it. For a romance book, I liked it. Mainly because of the back and forth between Darcy and Elizabeth.

We figured out the family Christmas present this year. Los Angeles and Californian places: Dec 24-Dec 31. Only been to Cali once and that was just San Diego when I was 8, so this is going to be fun. Only reason for it was because tickets were only $250 round-trip apiece. CVG is one of the most expensive airports, so that's a pretty good deal.

Have got two drafts of my college essay floating around on my harddrive. Remind me to get that done sometime within the next 2 months. *has awesome plans to be done with college nonsense by Nov 1st, like that'll happen*

Er...other stuff goes here. I want to pic-spam with basically all my trips I've mentioned on here but never said a thing about, but my computer will only connect to the printer and none of the computerS with all the pictures on them.

GRAH!

Anyways, been way busy. Too much stuff, probably. Will hopefully burn out soon and restart everything. Have not been keeping up with the f-list, at all. Anything important going on, guys? <s>alhdjsf Half-tempted to drop out of my last RP just so I can not have to deal with it and everything else? Which sucks because I basically just started like 3 different logs.</s>

Got my schedule for next year. Do not like at all:
1 - AP Physics (7:15-8:25)
2 - AP English Lit (8:25-9:28)
4 - Spanish IV (10:30-12)
- 2nd Lunch (11-11:30)
+College classes at community college:
- Latin (10-10:50)
- Euro History 1000-1500 (12-12:50)

You may be able to see the problem with timing. And I need to take math this year. College classes I can re-arrange to my heart's content, it's the high school I've got to fight with. It is just...agh! Does not help stress-levels. :| Am planning to drop Latin and pick up Calculus. Maybe see if there's another college course I want to take. Will not be going for valedictorian/salutatorian unless I get another AP in there. Only other available is Chem. First period. Yeah...no. Plus, it had summer work.

I am an overachiever no matter how much I try to deny it and say I'm lazy?

TeniMyu~

Since DL6 was just released, I decided to marathon all of the musicals from the beginning yesterday. Especially since I haven't watched any of them since DL5 was first released. Which means I've missed the return of Hyoutei and the debut of Shintenhouji. And I feel kinda guilty about that. Plus, I realized I haven't watched most of the musicals. I downloaded them, but forgot to ever watch them.

So got through the original, Fudomine, and DL1 and their backstages yesterday, all subbed! Gonna try for at least the next 3 today, but the only thing I have subbed is St. Rudolph backstage. Meh, I missed TeniMyu. I figured I should do something with the 40 GB folder it takes up. And I don't even have Rikkai 1st Service. :\

IN AWESOMER NEWS: I'M GOING TO SUGOICON AND FORCING FRIENDS TO COME. :D NOW I'LL HAVE SOME PEOPLE OTHER THAN MY DAD AND BROTHER TO TALK TO! :D

Aaaaand, I'm still failing at keeping up with my f-list. Whoops.

Finished Catch-22 for summer work and need to write an essay on it. Still trying to decide on whether or not I should read ride and Prejudice. I'm feeling lazy.

I don't think I ever posted here, but I left Thursday afternoon on my family's epic quest to explore the Midwest US and hit up a college in Minneapolis for me. About 8 o'clock, 25 miles from the Indiana/Illinois border, our camper tire conked out on us, broke a lugnut or something. Ended up having to call someone to tow our camper along and we had to stay the night in the repair garage parking lot, right next to a whole bunch of UPS trucks.

Yeaaaah...Made it up to Wisconsin Dells on Friday. Very nice tourist trap. We got free tickets to a theme park with tour site so we went there last night just for fun. Very nice roller coasters, if a bit jerky.

Today was Noah's Ark, biggest waterpark in the US. I got burned only on my forearms which sucks because I was trying to get rid of the farmer's tan I have. ):

Tomorrow headed to Minneapolis because my tour is Monday. No clue about the rest of the week. Make it to Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills sometime. Back on the 19th when I shall fill out an application and hopefully get a job!

somebody just kill me now

So. Tomorrow is July 1st. Tomorrow is when the Common App for 09-10 comes out.

Tomorrow is doomsday as I begin the very painful process of applying to colleges.

And as I am very likely to be whining about this topic for the next couple millennia, feel free to ignore these posts. I require this output so I can believe someone is out there reading it and sympathizing.

But yes, college doom death-y doom. I have this thing where I want to be done as quickly as possible so I can focus back in on senior year and trying to maintain a perfect GPA? Why do I have crazy visions for thing I know I am too lazy to actually accomplish?

College. Spazzing. Oh god, you guys, I can't write an essay to save my life. I hate giving opinions on things.

dsghjsfkalf

Childhood, oh how I miss thee

So over the past couple days I have basically been trying to relive--well, not my childhood exactly, but those strange in-between years?--by watching cartoons. Since I don't even have basic cable, this is very difficult. I'm talking things like Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, I could go on for ages.

Now, if I had more than basic cable, this would likely not be as big a problem as I'm pretty sure they re-run those shows on Nicktoons and Boomerang. As I don't, I turn to the Internet. Which I am very bad at searching. Though I am getting Powerpuff Girls from Netflix which is totally awesome.

And so I sit here, moaning and groaning and really really wanting to watch these shows. And wishing I could turn back time because I love my little American cartoons too much. Far more than I like any other genre, whether it be books, TV shows, movies, or other animation. American cartoons are held near and dear to my heart. ♥

...did I seriously just ramble on about cartoons for a whole entry? fffff EDIT: Stop trying to write. You get things like "hear and ear" instead of "near and dear".

I think I am going through a love-hate affair with my French class. I just completed an exercise, got all the answers right and shouted at my workbook: "Take that you dumb prepostion-y dumbness!"

Yeah. French, you are currently the bane of my existence. You drive me nuts for the same reason English does: half your letters are silent.

Now back to studying. This is my first graded college class and I would love to start my GPA off with a 4.

i require mindless reassurance

Ok ok, so this is probably just me over-reacting, but I have never have never done the whole friends and parties thing, so it is driving me nuts.

The party I mentioned earlier is going to be this Friday, 4-9. I heard today during Bio that they were all going to leave at 10:30 after the last exam and go to N's and party.

And I am in my seat thinking ":\ I have heard no such thing, hold on." And then I ask N because he doesn't drive and he says yeah, he's getting a ride to his place and I am still thinking ":\ I have still not heard of such a thing, do they not like me?"

I just checked with another friend if they were actually doing it and she said "not now, because N's mom doesn't want us there without her." Which means they had planned to do it. And they had not told me.

I am just, like, freaking out. Because if it had happened and I showed up at 4, I'd look like a complete tard and...I kinda-maybe-sorta thought these people were my friends?

Am I overreacting or have I successfully managed to grab sucky friends again?

movies are cool, yeah

So. I have been basically cramming my schedule with things to do for the past month. And this summer isn't looking good, either. Got my summer homework for AP Eng Lit and man, I really don't do classic literature too well, but we'll see.

I can't remember if I said this but I basically have a whole bunch of friends who work at the movie theatre, so I can get in for free. Saw Wolverine back at the beginning of the month, twice. Then Star Trek though I missed the VERY IMPORTANT SCENE ON THE WORLD OF ICE and the entire ending because I was busy trying not to throw up in the bathroom. Fixed that later on. Anyways, Angels & Demons which came complete with about a hundred jokes regarding Cardinals and their relation to the Northern Cardinal. (The friend I saw the movie with and I are in AP Biology where we're basically doing bird calls and all sort of dumb bird things. Yeah.)

And...last night I saw Night at the Museum 2 and Star Trek again at the Drive-In. That is my May Movie Month Madness. Just missing Up. I actually had a friend at the theatre ask if they were doing a midnight showing of Up and they said no. :| Then I asked if they could do one specially for us and they said no. :| I need to watch Up, but I don't think I can until next week because...

5 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL

And this means projects and exams and junk. Plus, my French class is driving me insane. I am not used to the pace or a college language course. I mean, I'm surviving, but I can't pronounce a damn thing right. Too much Spanish has corrupted my brain.

I may even be going to my first ever end-of-year party this year. o.o It's just for all the juniors in our AP Bio class, but still...I've never even been invited to one, let alone considered going.

I think there was something else, but I don't remember at all. If anyone sees me online tomorrow, kick me and tell me to work on my projects for school.

Lack of Silly Things

Ok, so should probably be doing something or other as of this point in time. But I cannot bring myself to care. Or to figure out what it is I should be doing.

There has been a distinct lack of silly postings as of late. Mainly because I am easily distracted by other shinies.

Taking French now instead of Euro History. First class session was Monday. Teacher's a nun. French makes my head go whooo~ @_@

I hate birds still.

Going camping this weekend.

Have some sort of recommendation thingy for National Merit I gotta have done by the 26th. Guys, tell me where I'm going for college.

Something else important and/or silly goes here.

I need to stop going to the library because everytime I do I pick up more books that I don't have time to read because I spend too much time here. (Though now I owe a fine so unless I want to pay it, I can't check out anymore books! \o/ )

ELEVEN MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL

I almost just deleted half the files on my computer. 8D Thank god for quick clicking fingers allowing me to press cancel and only lose a few things (though I only remember two, whoops. One of 'em was a 2.5 GB ISO, too. orz Gotta ask dad where it is so I can re-copy it over.)

This'll teach me to Shift+Del everything instead of sending it to the recycle bin.
